Covid is ramping up again!
5 Tips to staying healthy this Holiday Season!

We have started seeing an uptick in Covid patients in the last 2 weeks, but this does not mean you should fear gathering with family and friends this holiday season. Instead, I have put together a few tips we are sharing with all our patients on how to keep Covid and other viruses at bay as we gather for the holidays.

TIP #1- Properly wash your hands on a regular basis. This may seem like an obvious one, but we tend to forget during busy seasons. How we wash our hands also matters so it is important that you do a thorough job of it every time. Stay conscious of it and remember to regularly wash your hands with soap and water. Remind kids to do the same.
TIP #2- Remember not to touch your face. This is one of the primary ways viruses are transmitted. Try not to touch the eyes, nose, or mouth. Wash your hands first to ensure that they are germ-free.
TIP #3- Practice Healthy Habits Getting enough sleep, staying active, managing the stress of the Holiday season and drinking lots of fluids (water is best) is all part of building and maintaining a healthy immune system to fight off the flu & Covid.
TIP #4- Disinfect surfaces Clean and disinfect doorknobs and other frequently touched surfaces at home and work to prevent the spread of bacteria & viruses, especially when someone is sick.
TIP #5- Open your windows! Yes, it’s cold outside but opening your windows, even for a few minutes, and allowing fresh air to come in, can go a long way in preventing viral infections. Research found window opening was associated with increased air flow and lower virus transmission rates. So, open your windows for a few minutes/hours (depending on weather) daily to keep fresh air circulating throughout your home.
TIP #6- BOOST your immune system. Your immune system is your 1st line of defense when it comes to viral infections. Be preemptive in boosting your immune system with the vitamins and minerals your body needs ahead of holiday gatherings. My team and I have put together a discount bundle of our top selling immune boosting supplements. BONUS TIP:

For the last 3 years since the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic, I have not gotten sick with the Covid or Flu virus. Isn’t that remarkable? Even being expose sick patients, i have managed to remain Covid free. My secret? Besides taking daily vitamins, I have taken Hydroxychloroquine once a week as a prophylaxis (infection prevention) since the beginning of the pandemic. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) works by preventing the virus from entering the cells. If the virus cannot enter a cell, it cannot infect or replicate.

If you already have HCQ, I recommend taking it twice a week this holiday season. If you do not have HCQ, book a telehealth appointment today and one of our mom and pop pharmacies will have it shipped to you.
